Rower Josh Booth faints, hits head

Nick Green, Australian Olympic Commission reported that Josh Booth, an Australian rower fainted during a police detention over the damage of a shop front. During the incident, Josh fainted and hit his head. He was rushed to hospital. He later managed to return to the rowing village but under Australian doctor’s watch.

There were no charges pressed against Josh, he is expected however to return to the police station on Friday.

Green was informed about the incident on Thursday and he is waiting for further updates. The circumstances under which Josh got caught up in the event when the shop front was damage are yet to be known.

The Australian rowing team was beaten by Germany which won a medal in yesterday’s final. The future is still bright for the eight men rowing team, and we can only hope that Josh recuperates quickly. The Olympics excitement is still on, and we are waiting for further news.
