The Overwhelming Demand of Sony PlayStation 4 Sale in Australia

Several stores around Australia are busy opening up at midnight for frantic gamers, whereas Sony is now challenged how to supply the interest for the games console, Sony PlayStation 4. Sony PlayStation 4

Major retailers such as Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi, as well as Dick Smith are giving caution to clients that the following shipments are not due in awaiting early in the new year.

Many retailers are sitting tight for additional stock in order to meet the requests months ago, while Playstation 4 starts to hit the hearts, minds and gaming control fingers far from competitor Microsoft with the Xbox One, which was launched last week.

Dick Smith was the one who facilitated the midnight openings at a few stores. He issued a statement yesterday pointed out the problems of the demand for the new console.

He said in a statement, “Unfortunately, due to the overwhelming popularity and demand for PS4, the only opportunity gamers have to buy a console is if someone else cancels their pre-order, which we believe to be highly unlikely. For all those who didn’t make the previous rounds of pre-orders, as of today we’re releasing another round, with shipment expected in early 2014.”

The managing director Michael Ephraim of The Sony Computer Entertainment Australia depicted the demand for the new console as “unprecedented”.

According to Mr Ephraim that the pre-orders have worn out the stock on day one with retailers.

There is likely more stock arriving before Christmas. When retailers want them, then they should get it as fast as they could. To put in a pre-order is the best thing to set off into a store, he added.

The next deliveries will arrive before Christmas and the retailers will be the one sort out the volume of pre-orders they have with the stock that coming in.

In a week to two, the next delivery will arrive.

Mr Ephraim said that they are doing all they can to provide the demand for Sony PlayStation 4, which is really overwhelming.

Sony has not reveal the numbers on how many PlayStation 4s it sold in day one, yet said it meant to put 5 million units on the market internationally by March next year.
